COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, the safety and well-being of our employees, Guests remains our paramount priority here at JL Vancouver Thrift Store. We are following all guidelines and recommendations from provincial and national Public Health authorities, as we have done throughout the pandemic.
Here is what we are doing to keep you safe while shopping and donating with us.
Encouraging physical distancing and one direction traffic in aisles
Using a single point of entry and exit at locations with retail capacity limits in place
Ensuring ample space in aisles and lanes by removing merchandise displays
Keeping all fitting rooms and washrooms closed (some exceptions may apply in accordance with local by-laws)
Installing barriers at the cash desks for added protection between guests & employees.
Sanitization and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Encouraging the use of hand sanitizer upon entry
- Following enhanced cleaning schedules
- Wiping down trolleys, pin pads and surfaces
- Requiring masks to be worn by Guests and Donors in certain regions in accordance with municipal and provincial mask regulations. Some exemptions apply in accordance with provincial human rights codes.
- Requiring masks to be worn by all employees across Canada in addition to a daily screening protocol
Please do not shop if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or are required to self-isolate, if you have been around someone who is sick, or if you have been outside the country in the past 14 days.
